P.E. & School Sports
At Oxton St. Saviour's we use P.E. and sport as a vehicle to build confidence, increase self-esteem and resilience, develop motor skills, acquire knowledge and cultivate positive values and attitudes for the development of an active and healthy lifestyle. We aim to deliver high quality Physical Education lessons that inspire every child to succeed and excel. We believe that every child should have the opportunity to participate in a range of extra curricular sporting activities which embed our school values, promote an active and healthy lifestyle and develop team work skills in competitive situations.
P.E. & Sports Funding
The PE and sport premium is designed to help primary schools improve the quality of the PE and sport activities they offer their pupils.
A Message from the Sports Ambassadors February 2018
We are very proud of being Sports Ambassadors for Oxton St. Saviour's C.E. Aided Primary School. This year there has been a lot of sporting competitions, events and clubs that we have been able to take part in.
Here are the highlights of our sporting year:
- Sports Day - well done to Earth for winning both the Infant and Junior cups
- Freddy Fit - he inspired us to get active and eat healthily
- football tournaments - Year 2 loved competing against other schools for the first time
- success at swimming - we are really proud of our swimming team who represented the Wirral at the Merseyside Schools Games - and they came second!
