Compass
From April 2025, we have been slowly transferring our management and communication systems to the Compass Education App. We aim to make this is a one stop shop for all our families. This is an ESSENTIAL app please make it a priority to download as there are many important features in relation to your child/children that you will need to view.
The app and parent portal will continue to be updated regularly with new features. Our long-term goal is to bring most of our services together in one convenient place. However, we want to ensure that each phase of development is done right, so we’ll be introducing these changes gradually.
Using our NEW Parent Portal, you will be able to:
View up-to-date school attendance information
Approve or enter upcoming or past absences for your child
Update your registered email and mobile number details
Access information regarding upcoming events and news
Approve and pay for upcoming excursions and trips
Access school calendar
Receive school news
Book parents evening
Once you log into the Compass App and portal we ask that you check all contact details and permissions for your child. Please check the ‘Insights’ section on logging in to confirm your child’s dietary and school permissions are correct. From October 2025 - SCHOOL MEALS
We will no longer be using ParentPay for school meals. All future payments for school lunches will be made through Compass. The Compass wallet must have credit in the account for the teacher to be able to select them a meal. For added convenience, we recommend setting up an auto-top-up feature. This will automatically top up your child's wallet when the balance falls below a specified amount. This can help to ensure that your child always has enough money to pay for their meals.
For families eligible for Free School Meals: You do not need to take any action. Your child's meals will continue to be provided free of charge.
For Universal Free School Meals (children in F2-Y2): You do not need to take any action. Your child's meals will continue to be provided free of charge.
Please note: Lunch orders are taken in class by the class teacher during morning registration. Lunches cannot be pre-ordered at home/in advance.

From November 2025 - FIRST AID NOTIFICATIONS
We have now moved onto the 'Sickbay' feature of Compass, which enables first-aid-trained staff to simultaneously administer first aid, record details, and issue a push notification to parents. This efficient method of recording and reporting will be highly beneficial—no more lost bumped-head notes or missed phone calls.! Of course, for more serious incidents, parents will continue to be contacted directly.

From April 2026 - LITTLE ACORNS BEFORE & AFTER SCHOOL BOOKINGS
From Monday 13th April, we will no longer be using ParentPay. All Little Acorns bookings and payments must instead be made through Compass ‘Clubs’ from this date onward. Please note that Friday 20th March will be the final day parents can make bookings via ParentPay. The booking format remains the same in line with our policy—bookings must be made in advance. On-the-day bookings, cancellations, or swaps will only be permitted in emergencies or exceptional circumstances.
For parents who use Childcare Vouchers or the HMRC Tax-Free Childcare (TFC) scheme, please continue to notify the school office each time you make a payment. These payments will be credited to your account under ‘Third Party Funds’. When booking your child into the club, please ensure you select ‘Third Party Funds’ as your payment method.
Please note: Any voucher or TFC payments made during school closure periods will not be processed immediately. To avoid any disruption to your before- or after-school care arrangements, please ensure your account remains sufficiently topped up.
