Welcome to Oxton St Saviour's F2 Class (Horse Chestnut Class)

Application Process:

Applications for Reception are managed via Wirral Local Authority. Parents and Carers must apply via the portal by 15th January in the year their child is due to start school. We run a series of school visits and open sessions for families to visit our school to help decide if we are your preferred choice.

Offer letters are sent electronically to parents and carers on 16th April 2025 and we then get in contact with you to welcome you and your child to our school. We run a series of transition activities so that by the time September comes, your child is ready for school and settles well.

We use our Admissions Policy to rank the places offered and if we are over subscribed this also guides us with appeal processes.

Key Dates in Summer Term 2026:

Monday 20th April

All parents who have secured an F2 place will receive a 'Welcome' email from school.

Wednesday 3rd June

Our Welcome Meeting will be held in school at 5.00pm - this event is for parents only.

Tuesday 9th June

Parents, children and siblings are welcome to join us for a Teddy Bears Picnic held in our wooded play area from 3.30-4.30pm.

Monday 22nd, Tuesday 23rd & Thursday 25th June

Forest School Welly Walk, 3.30-4.30pm - bookable sessions (10 pupils per session) - more information to follow!

Wednesday 1st July

Transition Day! This day will be split into morning and afternoon sessions. Children will meet Miss Puttick and the F2 team, explore their new classroom and meet new class friends.
